Gently Falling Snow Card

I really need to start making cards to send out but I can't stop making new ones because I have so many new stamps and other toys to play with LOL! I finished this beautiful card this afternoon and am hoping to finish at least one more today. I just love how it turned out! It reminds me of playing in the snow with my Dad when I was little.

I started out with Pool Party catd stock (cs) for the base then added a layer of Tempting Turquoise to the back. Next I added a layer of Stampin' Up! Silver Glimmer Paper (I absolutely LOVE this stuff! It's so sparkley and the glitter doesn't fall off as much as other kinds I've tried). The front is a piece of Whisper White cs that I embossed with a Stampin' Up! Northern Flurry embossing folder. All three snowflakes are made with the Glimmer Paper. I cut out the large one with a Sizzlits Snowflake die and used two different punches for the smaller ones. To add a little more sparkle I added Snowflake Self-Adhesive Rhinestones to the center of each flake including the embossed ones too. Then I stamped the sentiment with a stammp from a Stampin' Up! More Merry Messages set w/Tempting Turquoise ink. Finally I finished with a couple sprays of Tattered Angel Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. Enjoy!
