Here is another beautiful birthday card that I made with my Stampin' Up! Crazy for Cupcakes set. Although it's retired it's still one of my fav sets for birthday cards and projects. I love how this turned out. Purple is my fav color and pink always look awesome with it.
I started with a purple base then added a pink layer. I embossed the front layer with a Cuttlebug Cupcake embossing folder then attached it to the pink layer. The pink strip is Designer Series Paper from the Patterns Stack-Brights Collection. The purple layer behind the pink Designer Paper was punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch. After attaching the Designer Paper to the purple background I added the Stampin' Up! Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon then attached the strip to the front of the card. I sponged the white card stock behind the cupcake with Stampin' Up! Positively Pink ink. I stamped the cupcake with Basic Black ink on both purple and pink card stock then cut out both layers with an exacto knife and attached them with mini pop dots. I cut out the sentiment with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels die, sponged the edges and stamped the sentiment with the Positively Pink ink then sponged the edge again with Stampin' Up! Perfect plum ink. Next I attached it to the card with mini pop dots. Finally I finished with a couple sprays of Tattered Angel Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.
