Triple Stamped Flowers and Butterflies Card

This beautiful card was inspired by an awesome tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. I've added it to my tutorials page so click here if you'd like to view it. It was my first attempt at shadowing and triple stamping. I admit that I was hesitant to try it but I'm really glad that I did because I absolutely love how it turned out!

Supplies
  • black, white and purple card stock
  • Stampin' Up! Concord Crush Poly Stitched Ribbon
  • Scotch Double Sided Removable Tape

  • adhesive
  • Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslit
  • Mini Pop Dots

  • Aqua pen
  • Micro Pop Dots

  • Stampin' Up! Old Olive and Lovely Lilac re-inkers
  • watercolor plastic pallet tray
Here's how I created the shadow effect:
  • add 2 drops of Lovely Lilac re-inker to one well in the pallet and 3 to another
  • add water to each well one drop at a time until you're happy with both shades
  • use an aqua pen to color all flowers with the lighter shade
  • then color just the shaded areas of each flower with the darker shade
  • repeat above steps with the Old Olive re-inker to color the leaves
Please let me know if you have any questions, I'm always happy to help. I always appreciate any comments/suggestions that you'd like to share. Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!
