A Rose is a Rose Thinking of You Card

I made this gorgeous card with my Stampin' Up! A Rose is a Rose stamp set. I love this set because it's so detailed and since it's a two step stampin' set you can create tons of color combinations. I like how this turned out, the colors are pretty and I really like the layout. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of white for the middle layer, and a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of patterned paper for the front layer.

Next stamp the flowers' first step in Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink ink then using a Stamp a ma jig stamp their second step in Stampin' Up! Positively Pink ink over the first step. Next stamp the leaves' first step in Stampin' Up! Old Olive and the second step in Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke inks. Then cut out the flowers and leaves and set them aside. Next cut out the label background with a Spellbinders Labels Seventeen die, attach it to the front layer then stamp the sentiment in Positively Pink ink with a stamp from a Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations set. Then cut out the butterflies with a Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings embosslit. Next attach the butterflies, flowers and leaves to the front layer with mini pop dots, attach the front layer to the middle layer, the middle layer to the base and enjoy!

Here's a similar card that I made with Stampin' Up! Pale Plum and Perfect Plum inks and Elegant Eggplant card stock. Enjoy!

Elements of Style Faux Mother of Pearl Card

Here's another gorgeous card that I made with my Stampin' Up! Elements of Style stamp set. If you checked out my previous post you'll see that this is yet another technique that this stamp set is perfect for. It's kinda hard to tell in the pic but I made this with the faux mother of pearl technique and I love how it turned out. The colors are gorgeous together and it looks so elegant. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of gray card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla for the first layer, a 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of gray for the image's first layer, and a 3 1/4" x 4" piece of glossy white for the front layer.

Then use a Stampin' Up! Ticket Corner Punch to punch the corners of the first and front layers. Next create the faux mother of pearl background. Click here for an awesome tutorial. Here's my supply list:

Supplies

Stamp sets: Stampin' Up! Elements of Style, Precious Few

Ink: Stazon Jet Black ink, Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke, Pretty in Pink

Accessories:  Twinkling H2O watercolor paints - Celestial Sun, Chiffon Pink, Sea Glass (I think), aqua painter, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Die, Fiskars scalloped oval punch, mini pop dots, ribbon, Tsukneko Frost White Ink

Then stamp the image over the background with Stazon Jet Black ink. Watercolor it with the Twinkling H2Os paint and an aqua painter and allow to dry. Next attach the image to the it's gray first layer, then to the Very Vanilla first layer. Next tie the ribbon around the first layer and attach it to the base. Then punch the sentiment's background out of gray card stock with a Fiskars scalloped oval punch, cut the sentiment's oval out of Very Vanila card stock with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals die and stamp the sentiment with Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke ink and a stamp from a Stampin' Up! Precious Few stamp set. Then attach the sentiment to it's background then to the front layer with mini pop dots and enjoy!

Kind and Cozy Secret Garden Card

Here's another card that I made with my Stampin' Up! Kind and Cozy stamp set. I also used my Secret Garden (one of my favorite sets) and the Stampin' Up! Plaid background stamp. I really like how this turned out. The colors look awesome together and it's so bright and cheerful. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9" piece of turquoise card stock and fold in half for the base, a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" piece of yellow for the middle layer, a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer, a 2" x 5 1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! All Abloom Designer Series Paper and a 1" x 5 1/2" strip of white.

Then cut out the circle for the sentiment with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Eyelet Circle die, sponge the edges with Stampin' Up! Island Indigo ink, then with a Stamp a ma jig stamp the sentiment in Island Indigo ink. Next stamp the strip with a Stampin' Up! Plaid background stamp in Island Indigo ink. Then emboss the 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of white card stock with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next stamp the three flowers on white card stock in Lost Lagoon, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight inks, the leaves in Stampin' Up! Mossy Meadow ink, and cut them out with Stampin' Up! Secret Garden Framelits Dies. Then begin assembling the card on the yellow card stock. Attach the embossed white card stock to the top half, the Designer Series Paper to the bottom half, the plaid background strip to the center, then the sentiment, flowers and leaves with mini pop dots. Melon Mambo Kind and Cozy Card

I made this cute card with my Stampin' Up! Kind and Cozy stamp set and Stampin' Up! Plaid background stamp. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out however I'm afraid that it's painfully obvious that I don't own a circle punch or die set LOL! Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9" piece of white card stock and fold in half for the base, a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" piece of pink for the middle layer, a  4" x 5 1/2" piece of white card stock for the front layer, a 1 3/4" x 4" piece of green card stock for the strip's edge, and a 1 1/2" x 4" piece of white for the bottom strip.

Next emboss the larger piece of white card stock with a Stampin' Up! Honeycomb embossing folder and set it aside. Then stamp the plaid circle in Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo ink, cut it out, then stamp the sentiment in the center with Stampin' Up! Old Olive and Melon Mambo inks. Next stamp the cup on scrap paper in Old Olive ink, cut it out and attach it to the sentiment with a mini pop dot. Then attach the sentiment to the embossed background with a mini pop dot. Next cut the edge of the green strip with a Stampin' Up! Finishing Touch Edgelit Die then on the white strip stamp the plaid background in Melon Mambo ink, attach it to the green strip, attach the green strip to the background, add the ribbon and attach the background to the pink card stock, finish assembling the card and enjoy!

Yellow Kind Koala Card

I made this cute card with my Stampin' Up! Kind Koala stamp. It's so darn adorable I just love it! I confess that normally I'm not much for yellow but for some reason I really like this. Here's how to make it:

First fold a piece of 6" x 9" white card stock for the base, a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" piece of yellow card stock for the first layer, a piece of 4" x 5 1/2" of Stampin' Up! Moonlight Designer Series Paper for the background, a piece of 2 1/2" x 4" piece of white card stock for the Koala's first layer, a piece of 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of yellow card stock for the middle layer and a piece of 2" x 3 1/2" piece of white card stock for the koala.

Next using a Stamp a ma jig stamp the koala in Stazon Jet Black ink then color the koala with an aqua painter and Stampin' Up! Basic Gray ink then the Flower with Stampin' Up! Hello Honey ink. Then attach the koala to the yellow middle layer, then to the white layer, then to the background. Next attach the background to the yellow layer, the Stampin' Up! Hello Honey ribbon on the back of both sides of the yellow card stock, make the ribbon with a mini bowdabra and attach it with hot glue then attach the button. Beautiful Bunch Thinking of You Card

Here's another card that I made with my Stampin' Up! Beautiful Bunch stamp set. It's really versatile, I love the shading and it's sooooo much fun to color lol! Here's how I made it:

First cut a 6" x  9 1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! Wisteria Wonder card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" piece of Elegant Eggplant for the middle layer and a 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer.

Then randomly stamp the dots image from the Stampin' Up! Celebrate Today stamp set in Stampin' Up! Wisteria Wonder ink on the white card stock. Create varying shades by double or triple stamping (ink the stamp then stamp on scrap paper either once or twice before stamping on your project without re-inking.) Next stamp the flower twice on another piece of white card stock in Stazon Jet Black ink. Then color them with Wisteria Wonder Stampin' Blendabilities markers or a Wisteria Wonder ink pad with either an aqua painter or blender pen. Next cut out the flowers with a Stampin' Up! Fun Flower punch, attach them to each other with a mini pop dot then to the front layer with another mini pop dot. Finally stamp the sentiment with a stamp from the Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations set in Wisteria Wonder ink, attach the front layer to the middle then to the base and enjoy!

Then heat emboss the Corner Garden image on white card stock with Versamark ink and black embossing powder then color the flowers with an aqua painter and Stampin' Up! Purple Kind Koala Card

Hey everyone! Here we go w/another purple card so you know I love it lol! I made this adorable card using my Stampin' Up! Kind Koala stamp set and Beautiful Wings Embosslits. Of course I love the colors, the butterflies are adorable and the bow's a nice finishing touch. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9" piece of dark purple card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" piece of light purple for the middle layer, a 4" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer, a 2 1/2" x 4" piece of dark purple for the image first layer, a 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" piece of light purple for the image middle layer and a 2" x 3 1/2" piece of white for the image.

Next sponge Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant ink on the front layer in various shades then use a straw (or other high tech flicking device lol!) to flick water randomly on the card stock and allow it to dry. In the mean time stamp the koala using Stazon Jet Black ink then color it with an aqua painter and Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake and Elegant Eggplant inks. Next attach a self-adhesive rhinestone to the center of the flower. Then cut out the butterflies using a Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslit and attach the self-adhesive rhinestones in the center of each. Next create your bow using your desired technique. I attached ribbon around the card stock using adhesive on the back of both sides then made the bow using a mini bowdabra. I just love that thing and use it a lot. Here's a pic if you're not familiar with it:

Next all that's left to do is attach the bow w/adhesive or hot glue (preferably hot glue if you actually want it to stick lol!), attach the butterflies with mini pop dots, then assemble the card and enjoy!
