Cherry Blossom Birthday Card

I made this gorgeous card with my Rubber Stampede Cherry Blossom stamp. I love this stamp because it looks so soft and realistic and it's a lot of fun to color too. I love how this card turned out. The colors look great together and I love the light pink and blue sponging behind the flowers. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Stampin' Up! Elegant Eggplant card stock and fold it in half for the base, and a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of light purple for the front.

Next dry emboss the front layer with a Cuttlebug Scroll Work Frame embossing folder and set it aside. Then cut and emboss the beaded oval out of Elegant Eggplant card stock with a Spellbinders Beaded Ovals die. Next cut the image and sentiment ovals out of white card stock with Spellbinders Classic Ovals dies then lightly sponge the bottom half of the large oval with Stampin' Up! Pretty in Pink ink and the top half with Stampin' Up! Bashful Blue ink. Next stamp the image with Stazon Jet Black ink then watercolor it with Twinkling H2Os watercolor paints and an aqua painter, allow it to dry then attach it to the beaded oval then to the front layer. Next sponge the small oval's edges then stamp the sentiment with Elegant Eggplant ink and a stamp from a Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations set, and punch the scalloped oval out of Elegant Eggplant card stock with a Fiskars scalloped oval punch. Then attach the sentiment to the scalloped oval then the scalloped oval to the front layer with mini pop dots. Next cut out the butterflies with a Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslit, attach them to each other then to the front layer with mini pop dots, add the self-adhesive pearls, attach the front layer to the base and enjoy!
