Northern Lights Christmas Card

I made this gorgeous card with my Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree stamp set. It's another one of my favorites because there's literally a tree for every season or occasion. Definitely a must have set. The technique I used is called Northern Lights. It's not one of the easier techniques in my arsenal but it's definitely worth the time and effort it takes to create. Here's how to make it:

First cut a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of dark blue card stock and fold it in half for the base, a 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" piece of Stampin' Up! Metallic Silver for the middle layer and a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white for the front layer.

Instead of listing instructions on how to do this technique click here for an awesome tutorial. When the background's complete heat emboss the trees and sentiment with Versamark ink and snow embossing powder then sponge white craft ink beneath the trees, attach the snowflake with hot glue then the self-adhesive rhinestone. Finally finish assembling the card and enjoy!

  1. Very nicely done. I have been wanting to try this technique but have been a bit scared to.
